Gain subscribers’ trust.
If a subscriber does not recognize or trust the sender of an email, they are less likely to open a message. Make sure the sender is clearly denoted by the name of your business, or someone who has been in contact with the consumer before. However, trust is most often gained before sending out emails, although social media and online behavior makes or breaks this kind of trust. Emphasize on the subject line.
The subject line is critical in order to get subscribers to click through on the email. While the audience may not know who you are, a compelling and creative or a direct and descriptive subject line can make the difference between getting an open or an ignore or delete.
Make sure your call to action is obvious.
When it comes to smartphones, viewers do not want to search around looking for what they are supposed to be looking at or doing. Smaller links are more difficult to click on, and even large ones that are not placed optimally on the page will get skimmed over if it’s not at the top of the page.
Include images.
The majority of email clients have images enabled by default on their smartphones. With imagery available by default on most smartphones, it is important to include images that are eye-catching, unique, creative, and relevant to the content you are posting about.
Be aware of unsubscribe placement.
It is important to consider where the unsubscribe button should be placed in comparison to the rest of your content. The common mistake with many email marketing campaigns is when the unsubscribe button is placed too close to the main call of action, which causes some viewers to accidentally opt out of the deals and alerts that they could have been receiving. Make sure to distinguish an unsubscribe link from the other separate links in the email.
