Top 10 Retail Brands College Students Love

A few months ago, we discussed the top food brands that millennials give thumbs up to. The ad agency Moosylvania surveyed 3,500 college students to ask them what their favorite brands were and why. Here are the top ten retail brands college students in their 20s love:

10. Hot Topic

Hot Topic has extended beyond a clothing destination for millennials. It promotes a lifestyle revolving around pop culture and the latest happenings in the music industry, as the store even sponsors music events and concerts.

9. Old Navy

In recent years, the bargain-clothing store’s digital campaigns have been a tremendous hit. Its Christmastime Vine contest created a buzz among millennials and its #Unlimited back to school advertisement hit over 12 million views on YouTube. The company also endorses stars like Julia Louis-Dreyfus to endorse marketing content that has continuously been successful among millennials.

8. Converse

Converse sales have steadily increased over the past years, as more and more millennials favor wearing them around campus and to work. Their “Made By You” campaign lets their consumers express how Converse fits into their own individual and unique lives.

7. American Eagle

This clothing company has managed to avoid using low prices to kick start revenue, unlike the fate of its competitors. The real winning aspect of American Eagle is its lingerie spin off Aerie, which prides itself on its airbrush-free advertisements. Since getting rid of Photoshop, their sales have skyrocketed.

Nike’s Jordan brand sneakers are popular among millennials, as it is a billion dollar market. On different reselling sites such as eBay and Craigslist, consumers are selling this collectible footwear.
